The Weaving Wisdom Garden: The Vibrancy of Possibility
A Collaborative Publication Pollinating Poetic Expression
Spring Spiral: The Vibrancy of Possibility
April 19, 2023
Thank you for bringing your Heart to receive the Weaving Wisdom shared through this Garden of Poetic Expression. Themed to honor the seasonal spiral, this month’s contributions are inspired through Spring’s unfurling invitation to embrace
The Vibrancy of Possibility.
I am deeply enjoying the journey of receiving the potent expressions that Poetic Weavers are choosing to send in. I am coming to learn that the web of resonance spun through the invitation draws forth a prism of expressions that cast wisdom from various perspectives. Each piece carries a thread of continuity that meets the next and expands the reach of the core learning. It is only in the weaving of the collaborative wisdom that I begin to distill the medicine alive in the Whole ecology. This collection touched in me the mysteries of water - vessels, miracles, cleansing, renewal, courageous waves of declaration and the honoring of our flowing truths.
Enjoy the works of heart contributed by inspired Weavers and follow your curiosity to explore their personal realms of creativity through the links provided with their names. The deepest intention of this publication is to strum resonance through nourishing expressions and enliven the ether as we cultivate connection with one another. We would love to listen with your reflections in the comments and spark inspired conversations that ripple the medicine in all directions.

[ arrival ]
let me forget
all the things
I once knew
names, places
ideas and identities,
may they vanish
into holy dust
let each flower meet me
as though for the first time
as though I just arrived
from some other planet,
as though I were as wild
and particular
as each one of them.
let me feel each thing
move me,
my body responding
in infinite shapes
of freshness
and wonder.
please, dear world,
accept this plea:
let me be
a golden bell
for each new thing
to ring.

Desire
In this life you are asked to be a conscious vessel of your own experiences and desires. For you are a unique container of the divine Source that lives through you; your life is not yours alone.
Your task is not to transcend or escape the earthly realm, but to feel your own soul’s desires while you are here.
Your desires are not yours alone. They are messengers from your soul; they are threads that weave you into the shimmering tapestry of life. As a human being you hold both sides of the threads: the known and the unknown, the visible and the invisible, the conscious and unconscious, the longing and the fulfillment.
You do not make your own desires; you receive them. You are a vessel of the desires that are given to you.
Nature shows you desire in all forms: in the desire of the newborn child to nurse, of the river to meet the sea, of the root to stretch and drink underground.
You, too, were made for your desires.
Embody your earthly desires; embrace your soulful desires. Pay attention to the difference between those that lead to distraction, and those that lead to greater wholeness. These come in the form of longings or callings; they are quiet, gentle, persistent messages that resonate with clarity and truth. Your true desires set you in motion to explore what is hidden and to realize your own wholeness.
Your own desires fluctuate and change like the ocean tides - each is a wave wanting to break on the shore. Acknowledge your desires, but do not identify with their individual form. Instead look behind the desire to its Source, which bestows both longing and its ultimate fulfillment.
The answer to all desire it in its origin.

Give it All back to Experience it All —
Stripped of my fantasies and childhood dreams
What will become of me?
This once thought to be pre-destiny
Is a swirling mystery.
I take my wise Crone’s hand
And step into the unknown.
I am back inside the womb of creation
No longer controlling and pleading with the Goddess
For a picture perfect puzzle of predestination
to receive me
Allowing me to live out a fake sheltered version of reality
Holding on until I am guaranteed safety.
I’ve been crawling and clawing to get back inside
Where I can hide
But the oceans flooded
And the earth turned to mud
My hands and feet slipped
while I wept
and it all got swept
away
that day … feels so long ago
Even though I know,
It’s a daily reoccurrence
of surrender
back into Grace
Where I receive Fate.
This is not passivity,
But open receptivity.
Telling the Truth strips us of our superficiality
Where we see underneath the fleeting attempts
and collections of masks we make and carefully articulate.
We look deep inside and pierce into the eyes of the Great Beloved's face.
The ocean that swept us away from our chains and imposter securities
is the same Ocean that has delivered us, again and again,
To this sweet, surrendered space
of Infinite Possibility
Where our Divinity is within the Mystery
So let the mudslides slip away
what we cling to for certainty
Giving everything back
To the Dream
That birthed you and me.
Inside of this miraculous impossibility.
Awake to the Miracle.
Not longer looking for a cure
The Goddess has a plan, this I am sure.

EXCERPT FROM THE SOULFLOWER PLANT SPIRIT ORACLE
Hawthorn • Courage
(Crataegus)
Hawthorn is medicine for the heart on all levels, helping you to find the courage to face and overcome your fears and facilitating self-love and self-acceptance. Hawthorn supports a strong and protected open-hearted state, allowing you to fully give and receive love, so that you can truly come into your own divine strength and power.
The lessons from Hawthorn are not the easiest—they can be sharp and painful—but facing our fears, overcoming our fears, and even just recognizing and acknowledging our fears, is where deep personal growth and healing occurs.
The wisdom of our hearts is not going to take us down the path of least resistance; it is, instead, going to take us on a journey to enable our biggest growth. Growth is challenging. Feeling, and feeling deeply, is unavoidable. Whether we are feeling joy or pain, we have to feel it all.
Growth, and life itself, is a process, and allowing our hearts to lead the way won’t eliminate our fears, but it will transform them. Having the courage to open and follow our hearts allows us to act on our intuitive impulses—our messages direct from Source—as we receive them. Heart-inspired action will never lead us astray.
Our inner and outer worlds are often filled with fear, judgment, scarcity, anger, and pain, all of which, as a form of self-preservation, have the crippling power to close our hearts and minds to divine connection. As we slip into avoidance and over-thinking, protected by our egos, which keep us hiding and safe, we just end up repeating and following old behaviors and stories. It’s a vicious cycle of stagnation, pain, and avoidance.
Hawthorn is asking you to recognize and face your fears head on, so that you can move through them. It is perhaps one of the most sacred acts to be scared and yet follow your heart anyway.
“It’s okay,” says Hawthorn. “Relax. This is life, this is you—all of it. You can’t neatly file all of your experiences into piles of good (yes, please) and bad (no, thank you). One does not exist without the other. That is the beauty and the gift of life itself: you get to experience it all. You are it all.”
Your courage to live your life, and your powerful free will, are fully supported by your divinely connected (and inspired) heart for your own greatest good and the greatest good of all.
When you take inspired action, led by your open heart and your inner knowing, you are allowing Source energy that flows through all to flow through you out into the world. Your courageous, open heart is co-creating with Source. How could that possibly cause you harm?
What are you avoiding?
Affirmation: My heart is connected to Source and the power of love that flows through me and will never lead me astray.

my eyes are a camera
it scans, films, receives the light
of the living world
only I get to see it.
only I get to see it.
no one else, in this way.
and still,
I do not recall, I do not remember the beauty
and I forget the crushing awe.
and every time
I turn my eyes to a field
to a forest
to a disappearing hill
I weep
as I remember
how beauty permeates the light
as I remember the green sea of grasses
swaying in the eternal
they live on forever.
this is a damned camera,
as it forgets
as it can only show what is playing.
and yet, it is a deepest blessing
to forget and be reminded—
the crushing awe.

WHAT I WORSHIP
Alma eats oysters now
Maya toddles around on the sand
Both growing up right in front of my eyes
These little, beating hearts that I made,
Inside of me
These little, fingers and toes, smiles and voices,
Their own beingness so obvious now.
Watching them is watching my greatest creation take on life of its own.
Each and every human, past present future,
Came through the portal of a woman’s body.
This is what I worship.
This is what puts me on my knees.
My little girls and the life that courses through their veins.
The creative force that is the thread through all of humanity.
Each moment spent in presence with my body,
A prayer.
Each moment spent in love with my girls,
A blessing.

The Sun is Shining
Down the river
Where her beauty flows
We thank our Mother and we grow grow grow
We take our shelter in an arc that we built
The wind carries in the sweet scent of your protector
And drops of the dewy eve's nectar
We take our shelter in an arc that we built
Together
With our love
Together
We take our shelter in an arc that we built
Together
With our love
Together
Above we hear the caw of the crow
And I can hear it's calling you
I can hear it's captured you too
The pulsing growl of the earth below
It's calling you I can see its captured you too
I can see it's pulling you
I can see it's captured you
I can see it's calling you too.

She, the woman with ribbons on her skirt, spoke quietly. I had to lean in to her words. She said, “I am shy.” Her voice like the soft wind rippling across still waters. It was an early spring day and snow’s coldness still lingered in shadows; I had gone to see the butterflies. They drifted through the warm, humid room pausing on lush tropical plants, a cement block wall and tiled floor. They sought red hibiscus flowers like restless hearts seeking a moment of clarity. I had worn a blue shirt with a tiny red flower print hoping the butterflies would mistake me for a flower and land. My friend took my picture with a luminous blue butterfly pausing on my chest, just above my heart. It was a precious moment. I held my breath. Yet, I could not help notice the water stained ceiling. Spring’s melting waters were seeping through plaster, drywall and beams, built to protect us from nature’s moods and shifting skies. Did the butterflies seek the sky? It was when I was leaving that I noticed her standing, uncertain, in front of people. The people were silent, shifting nervously in their chairs, expecting something from her words. She gathered herself with a few deep breaths, touched her hair and then she offered words for the people’s tongues. This is what she said –
When you cross a bridge, tell the water –
I thank you water
I love you water
I am so sorry water
When I cross two bridges every day returning home, I recall her words and let them flow from my tongue –
I thank you water
I love you water
I am so sorry water
Her words stir sadness in my heart, like a butterfly that cannot find the sky.
